Ham & Asparagus Frittata with Sharp Cheddar


Have you seen the strawberries lately?

No, even better, have you TASTED the strawberries lately?!

Boy, oh boy are they something! Sweet and a little tart but packed with flavor all the same!

Ok, ok so I’m trying to distract from the fact that I haven’t given you a single thing in past uhm, mygosh, has it been closer to 2 weeks than 1? Oh goodness, I’m sorry. I apologize from the bottom of my heart, really I do. I just hope you haven’t given up on my blog.

I promise to be better, I keep meaning to post pictures and then I get busy at work and forget…or busy having fun on my time off..either way.

Exciting New! Summer Blog Series: 12 Weeks of Grilled Pizza


I have a surprise for youuu. :D

I woke up this morning with pizza on the brian, but not just any pizza, no my friends the pizza of all pizzas; Grilled Pizza.

Homemade Grilled Pizza to be exact!

I love pizza, doesn’t everyone? It can be made in every variation, combination and mix of flavors out there. The crust can be flavored, the sauce, the cheese, the toppings, the sky is the limit, the possibilities, endless.

This is why I have decided to resurrect “Pizza and Wine Friday Nights” with a vengeance.

We all know summer is the perfect time for grilling but what about grilled pizza? I’m not talking putting a pizza stone on the grill, I’m talking throwing your raw dough right on there, cooking it, flipping it, topping it and baking it ON THE GRILL. It works, we do it often. No the dough doesn’t fall through the grates on the grill, yes it tastes better than anything you could imagine.

This concept is frightening to many however so I have decided..

I have decided to spend 12 weeks this summer on grilled pizza doing multiple gourmet variations on it; Thai pizza with peanut sauce, grilled fruit dessert pizza even…you know what? I’m not going to tell you anymore, I don’t want to spoil it!

The Sick Factor


I realize it’s been a while since I’ve updated you on my training.

Well last week, it was going GREAT!

This new job is really conducive to my workouts. I get up around 6ish, workout and then go to work and it’s done for the day.

The difference between 5am and 6am is profound let me tell you.

I was able to take a Body Attack class on my day off on Wednesday..it made it very clear that my workouts needed to be UPPED big time.

I was all excited to tell you about running outside in the mornings this week, last week it was elliptical, but then, suddenly, I’m sick.

This seems to be a trend; I get back into working out, I do really, really well for a week…and then I’m sick, it’s just how it is. Continue reading

Jazzed Up Sour Cream Noodle Bake & Ham and Asparagus Pasta with Fresh Rosemary


Oh boy, do I ever have 2 delectable noodle recipes for you today! And one with leftover no less!

Lets start on Friday, last Friday. I’m behind on posts I know but give a girl a break OK?!

I set about making the Pioneer Woman’s Sour Cream Noodle Bake.

You know how once you get to know your pallet a little better, you can look at a recipe and imagine what the ingredients might all taste like together? No? Well you better get out in the world and od some tasting then!

Any-who this casserole, it sounded good but when I made a few little tweaks and put the finished produce in my mouth on Friday, I nearly cried; it was that good. Not only that, but it was amazingly complex and different than I ever expected to taste, it blew me away!  Matt and I nearly fought over the last of the leftovers last night. Whatever you might think when looking at the ingredients, stop and give it a chance, it’s worth it.

Next, what do you do with the leftover noodles in the bag you cooked off, leftover Easter spiral ham and a bundle of asparagus too small to serve with dinner? You make this;
